The Captain's Design Resource

Set-up for measuring primary coil resonant frequency.
Introduction
When I first started tesla coiling a little over a year ago, although I found many awesome tesla coil sites out there, I really
couldn't find one that summed up the entire tesla coil design process. One site would have bits and pieces on primary design,
while another would have small tidbits on secondary or toroid design. And some websites would have a plethora of tesla coil
related equations, but not wouldn't include a logical step-by-step process to use them. I found that I had to piece together small
tidbits of information from a wide variety of websites to get what I actually needed.
The goal of this page is to provide a very simple and logical, step-by-step process, to which one can start from, and design a
complete working tesla coil. It will also provide resources and information on how to design other type of high voltage projects.
