The XSSTC Coil - A Solid State Magnifier

The completed magnifier system

Introduction

I originally built this magnifier coil to be used with a conventional spark gap type tesla magnifier system.  However, with

the recent successes of the various PSSTC (Pulsed Solid State) coils, I have decided to go a step further and build

a solid state magnifying system.  Although the design will be challenging to say the least, and heavily embedded with

theory and simulations, I am confident I'll be able to come up with a successful design.

This coil will be officially dubbed the XSSTC coil which is pronounced "Ecstasy" coil which given the definition provided

by Webster's Dictionary below is a name I hope this coil's performance will live up to.

    Ecstasy:

                1 a : a state of being beyond reason and self-control

PCB Artwork

I decided to use Express PCB to manufacturer the boards for this particular design because I wanted to make

everything open source.  Express PCB is a free downloadable program and can be obtained at www.expresspcb.com.

This single artwork file contains an entire full of boards including the following:

(3) Full-Bridge Power Boards (half-sections)

(2) Self-Resonant Driver Boards with onboard low voltage power supplies

(1) Self-Resonant Driver Board (small version with low voltage power supplies)

(2) Pulse Modulator (interruptor) boards for external control
