Our newest Pro Flicker LED controller is available with a 4-channel prop controller which can create an animation of up to 30 seconds in length at a sample rate of 30fps.
The integrated Pro Flicker LED controller utilizes the same advanced pattern effects generator that are existing controllers use and is available in the following effects suites:
- Candle and Flame Suite
- Electrical Glitch Suite
- Neon Sign / Electrical Glitch Suite
- Legacy 3.0 Effects Suite (this includes a little of everything)
The prop controller comes with four (4) solid state output channels that are rated up to 3A and can be used with LEDs, relays, solenoids, and other low-voltage electronic devices.
Recording an Animation
Recording an animation is very simple. Press a button to RECORD and then press or hold any of the four (4) pushbuttons to turn an output ON. When done, press RECORD again to stop the recording and save the animation. Layer recording is also available which means you can press RECORD again for a previously saved animation and layer additional outputs on top of what was previously recorded. An animation up to 30 seconds in length can be recorded at a sample rate of 30fps.
Trigger Input and External Control
A trigger input is available to externally start the animation and can be used with handheld pushbuttons, pressure mats, beam sensors, PIR sensors, and similar devices. For example, a person may walk by a beam sensor, and that would trigger the recorded animation to play.
Flicker Output
A single pushbutton allows the user to cycle through a wide array of steady-state, flame, electrical flicker and surge, and strobe an pulsation patterns with varying intensities, modulation, and flickering. Internal memory allows the device to resume the previously selected output mode in the event power is loss to the device. The flicker output can be configured to be always ON, or to be either turned OFF or ON when an animation is played back. For example, in the idle state, you may wish to have a hall lantern lit, but when an animation is played, the hall lantern will turn off putting the entire hallway in the dark.
